Holy Week Schedule(March 28 - April 3, 2010)
![]() (Wednesday) Seder Meal – 6:30 PM in Fellowship Hall
In the evening before his arrest, Jesus gathered with the disciples to celebrate this Passover meal, the most important of all Jewish household ceremonies. The meal includes foods and readings that recall the history of the Exodus from Egypt and celebrate the faithful God who saves the children of Israel. Experience this meal, and learn how Jesus transformed it into what we know as the Lord’s Supper or communion.
![]() Maundy Thursday – 7:30 PM in the Harris Activity Center (530 Poyntz) Auditorium
Recall again the last supper of Jesus and the disciples as we share communion and commit to the new commandment to love one another.
![]() Good Friday - 7:30 PM in the Sanctuary
Recall the final moments of Jesus’ life through scripture readings, music, and silence. As death nears, candles are extinguished to remind us that the world loved darkness (tenebrae) rather than light.
